reducing our CO2 footprint
On average, one night in a hotel represents around 10.5 kg of CO2 emissions. To offset this :
- A 2 km journey in a petrol cab in a city with free-flowing traffic emits around 0.5 kg of CO2: Choose Parisian transport to discover the capital.
- A 5-minute shower emits around 2 kg of CO2: take shorter showers
- Cleaning a room emits around 1 kg of CO2: you can use the "Do not disturb" sign on the outside handle of your door if you don't want the room to be cleaned.
- An A4 printout emits around 5 grams of CO2: Send documents and printouts by e-mail only when necessary.
- One day's use of air conditioning emits around 12 kg of CO2: remember to turn it off when you leave your room.
