Rodin. The Centenary Exhibition
The Grand Palais honors the sculptor Auguste Rodin from 22 March to 31 July 2017, on the occasion of the centenary of his death.
This exhibition presents the work of the artist but also the works of great masters such as Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux, Antoine Bourdelle, Paul Claudel, Constantin Brancusi … who were influenced by this precursor of modern sculpture. Artists of the 19th century, modernity and finally of the contemporary era, all watched and became imbued with the spectacular work of Auguste Rodin, whose impressive stature reveals everything from his place in the history of Art: a giant.
He tackled the finest delicacy of kisses of love, offered mythology its most eloquent sculpted illustrations, and finally embodied itself in a hallucinating Hell of ambition and technique.
Come and stay at the Victor Hugo Paris Kléber hotel located within walking distance from the Grand Palais to take full advantage of this exhibition.
