The Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris presents until February 26th 2017 a retrospective of the work of Bernard Buffet (1928-1999), considered one of the most famous French painters of the 20th century, but also one of the most discussed.
Through a selection of a hundred paintings, the exhibition proposes a thorough re-reading of his entire work from the mid-1940s to 1999, the year of his suicide.
