The Grand Palais honors the sculptor Auguste Rodin from 22 March to 31 July 2017, on the occasion of the centenary of his death.

Until May 22^nd , the Musée du Louvre presents an exhibition devoted to the leader of this art, Johannes Vermeer, and highlights his greatest masterpieces and many canvases by his contemporaries in order to make Account of this artistic emulation which has enabled him to achieve excellence.

Johannes Vermeer and his Dutch contemporaries Gérard Dou, Gerard ter Borch, Jan Steen, Pieter de Hooch and Frans van Mieris loved to represent the refined scenes of everyday life. Through their interaction but also a form of competition that they maintained among themselves, these artists have sublimated a typical pictorial typology of the 17th century.
